Furches Scholars (at UNC-Chapel Hill)

Established by the Furches in 1999, The Furches Scholars Program assists first-year students in University Studies who plan to transfer to UNC-Chapel Hill. Provided they continue to qualify, this scholarship will support the recipient for two years while at Sandhills , and it will carry forward for two years at UNC-Chapel Hill. Mildred and Doc Furches’ work, their dedication, and their generosity have been and will continue to be sources of inspiration and support to generations of Sandhills’ students. Students at UNC-CH should upload a current copy of their full-time schedule and last report card statement for verification and scholarship funds will then be sent to their current address on file.
