George Bampton Little Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The George Bampton Little Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a first or second-year Culinary Arts student with preference given to a graduate of a Moore County high school. Recommendations should express student’s potential for success in Culinary Arts. Student may have demonstrated financial need.

In 2003 an unspeakable tragedy befell the Little family when 2 year-old George Bampton Little was accidentally killed. He was the son of Wes and Teresa Little and grandson of SCC Trustee Chair George W Little. At the time, Teresa was a teacher in the Sandhills Community College Culinary Arts Program. A community of friends and family, saddened beyond words, came together to create this endowed scholarship to honor the memory of George Bampton Little.
