The Thelma Irene Van Camp Endowed Scholarship

Award to a deserving student with a GPA of 3.0 or above enrolling in a college transfer program seeking a degree in teaching education to include (but not limited to) special needs education and/or counseling services within the education system. The second choice would be a deserving college transfer student seeking a degree in social work to include (but not limited to) youth service, substance abuse, psychology, mental health, non-profit employment, etc.

If a suitable candidate is not found the scholarship may be held and awarded the following year; Preference given to students involved in volunteer organizations in the community and sports activities at any level. Students are encouraged to continue ongoing communication with Rip Van Camp while attending SCC.
