Linden Garden Club of Pinewild Landscape Gardening Book Fund
In 1993 several residents of the Pinewild community wanted to join a garden club. At that time, it was difficult as existing area clubs had geographical and/or member number restrictions. So, a group of fifteen ladies decided to start a club of their own. Thus, with the help of Jane McPhaul, the Linden Garden Club of Pinewild joined the local Garden Council and became an official North Carolina Garden Club. Today the club has almost 170 members.
During the past 20 years, the Linden Garden Club has had over eighty speakers with presentations ranging in topic from butterflies to decorating with fresh fruit and flowers. Approximately 25 bus trips have been taken across North Carolina to a variety of venues including art exhibits, nurseries, arboretums, and gardens. Future endeavors for the club include expanding our knowledge of gardening in the Sandhills and contributing to the greater gardening community.
From its inception, the Linden Garden Club of Pinewild has spread some “Gardening Good Will”. The Linden Garden Club has taken pride in sponsoring a book scholarship for a Sandhills Community College student studying Horticulture or Landscape. The club annually raffles baskets and gifts at the Holiday Luncheon with all the proceeds going towards the scholarship.
Established in 2007, The Linden Garden Club of Pinewild Landscape Gardening Book Fund provides Books for deserving Landscape Gardening students in need.

En ese momento, fue difícil por las restricciones del área y/o en los números de miembros que ya tuvieron otros clubes actuales de jardinería. Entonces, un grupo de 15 mujeres decidieron empezar su propio club. Hoy, el club tiene casi 170 miembros.

Aproximadamente 25 viajes de autobús se han realizado a lo largo de Carolina del Norte a una variedad de sitios incluso exposiciones de arte, guardarías, arboretos, y jardines. Esfuerzos futuros del club incluyen expandir nuestro conocimiento de jardinería en los Sandhills y contribuir al área metropolitana de la comunidad de jardinería.
