Established in 2011 by the Doctors and staff of Pinehurst Medical Clinic in honor of their colleague, Dr. David Allen, The Pinehurst Medical Clinic 1st Year Nursing Scholarship in honor of: Dr. David Allen is awarded to a first-year nursing student with potential for success.

Following the spirit of Dr. Allen’s career, student must have demonstrated care and concern for patients during clinical training and enthusiasm for the medical profession. Student should have financial need. Dr. David Allen is a medical oncologist with Pinehurst Medical Clinic. He received his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine and has been in practice for almost 50 years.
