Sandhills Emergency Physicians
Sandhills Emergency Physicians was founded in 1991 as an independent and democratic group of emergency medicine specialists whose members are all board certified or eligible (through residency training in emergency medicine or EM experience) by the American Board of Emergency Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine. Aspiring to be highly effective practitioners of emergency medicine and advocate principles of equity, the Sandhills Emergency Physicians goal is to personally provide excellence in emergency medical care to all patients with due regard to the needs of their families and society, their personal physicians and each other, as members of a highly qualified and skilled team of emergency medicine specialists.
Established in 2008, the Sandhills Emergency Physicians EMS Scholarship is awarded to two (2) students enrolled in EMS believed to have potential for success. Students must maintain 2.5 GPA and should demonstrate financial need. Students should demonstrate above and beyond acts of kindness.
