Mike and Cara Hardinger

We are pleased to have the opportunity to assist students in the at Sandhills Comunity College Nursing Program. The medical profession has been an integral part of our family experience for several generations. My father, grandfather, great-grandfather, two great uncles, and one first cousin of my father were all “country doctors” in Illinois. They viewed the nursing profession as an integral part of any successful care program, and always encouraged qualified young people to consider nursing as a profession. At times, they provided financial help to those in need.

We are pleased to be able to carry on the tradition of our family via the Hardinger Family Scholarship Funds for aspiring nurses. We choose Sandhills Community College students as the recipient of the funds because we believe that the administration, the faculty, and a high number of qualified students create a winning team. We need well educated and committed nurses whose passion is helping others, and we feel Sandhills CC is the right place to find them.
