Mason Allen Wagner

The Mason Allen Wagner Award honors and memorializes Mason Wagner, who tragically lost his life before the start of his junior year at Pinecrest High School. Mason was born and raised in Pinehurst. Mason had an adventurous spirit, a determined stubborn streak, and above all, a tender heart. An outstanding athlete, he was a varsity football player, wrestler, and member of the track and field team. He was known for being well rounded, and always willing to help!
The goal of this award is to honor Mason, and recognize scholastic achievement. The recommendation committee looks for individuals who serve their community, friends, and neighbors with a smile and grace. Or, in the words of Mason’s family, “someone who is there for others in need, to lend a hand or an ear because these things will be remembered long after the material things are gone.”
