Dr. Gary Denman Memorial Scholarship

The Dr. Gary Denman Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of the late Dr. Gary Denman by his family to honor his dedication to education and the STEM fields. Dr. Denman received his undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Cincinnati and his PhD from Ohio State University in mechanical engineering. He had a long career in service to the government. He began his career at Wright Patterson Air Force base in Dayton OH, becoming the Director of the Materials Laboratories and ultimately the Director of DARPA in Washington DC. He finished his career in private industry. He was a proponent of higher education and encouraged many students along the way to enter science, technology, engineering and mathematics. This scholarship was established to honor his memory and to help other students fulfill their dreams in the STEM fields.
